3. Jonathan Joseph – an 18-minute hat-trick vs Italy in Rome
England outside-centre Jonathan Joseph scored the third fastest hat-trick in RBS 6 Nations against Italy, running in three tries in 17 minutes and 59 seconds as England ran out 40-9 winners at the Stadio Olimpico.
An intercept score 13 minutes into the second half opened the floodgates as Joseph cantered under the posts for his first.
The second score owed much to Danny Care, the substitute scrum-half’s delicious grubber sitting up perfectly for Joseph to collect and dot down.
And he showcased his power for his third, holding off three would-be tacklers to power over in the left corner for a treble with nine minutes still to go and England finished up 40-9 victors.
