Manu Tuilagi has got his scan results – and it’s bad news

England and Sale Sharks centre Manu Tuilagi has been ruled out for six months after suffering a torn achilles against Northampton Saints on Tuesday.

As well as missing the entire Autumn Nations Cup, he is also expected to miss next year’s Six Nations competition, according to the Mail Online.

The powerhouse was helped off the pitch against Saints and it immediately looked like a serious blow. He will undergo surgery next week.

Eddie Jones will also be without Courtney Lawes for the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup after it was confirmed that he requires specialist attention on his ankle.

Although Saints haven’t issued a formal statement for the 84-cap locks recovery, a source has told the Mail Online that it’s expected that he will be out for up to three months.
