Manu Tuilagi suffers potentially serious injury blow

Leicester Tigers head coach Geordan Murphy says Manu Tuilagi could be out for the rest of the season with a damaged hamstring.

The centre will certainly miss the game against Bristol next weekend, but Tigers have not received a medical report to give a full diagnosis.

“We haven’t had a conclusive report but he will be out for a period of time – we just don’t know how long it will be,” said Murphy.

“He’s had hamstring injuries before, so we hope we can speed it up his recovery, and feature for us towards the end of the season.

“It could be the rest of the season, there’s three games to go, and we have to worry about what we can worry about. We’ve had a lot of injuries this season, but I think it was important we got across the line there.”
