Match Report – New Zealand 21-24 Lions

The Lions produced a thrilling performance in Wellington to beat New Zealand after Sonny Bill Williams was sent off in the first half.

Tries from Taulupe Faletau and Conor Murray, plus 14 points from the boot of Owen Farrell, earned a momentous victory in Wellington after Williams was dismissed for a shuddering tackle on Anthony Watson in the first-half.

Beauden Barrett kicked all of the All Blacks points from the tee.

The Lions only led in a thrilling contest when Farrell successfully kicked a 40-metre penalty with just three minutes remaining but return to Auckland next Saturday with a chance of claiming a truly historic series win.

More to follow.
