Northampton Saints Allan Gaffney took aim at winger George North after the Midlands side fell to yet another Premiership defeat.
Denny Solomona’s first-half hat-trick helped Sale beat Saints to put their play-off bid back on course.
And when asked about North’s absence, the coaches response was less than complimentary. More of a cheap shot.
Where was George North today?
Alan Gaffney: ”You’d better ask George that. We picked a side who actually wanted to be out on the pitch and the best side for the game.”— BBC Northampton (@BBCNorthampton) March 3, 2018
He was asked: “Where was George North today?” and responded: ”You’d better ask George that. We picked a side who actually wanted to be out on the pitch and the best side for the game.”
Meanwhile, fellow Wales international Josh Adams (Worcester) was selected for his club to face Leicester at Sixways tomorrow.
