“The boys who were selected, everyone shook their hands and then we were left to do our thing.

“Whoever wanted to get out of the hotel could go for food or whatever and some people just hung around and did video work.

“I was fortunate that my family and my girlfriend are here, so I could get away from the hotel and just spend some time with them.

“It’s obviously very difficult. With the huge pride and honour you have in being selected, there is a group of boys that are very disappointed and it was a touchy subject last night. It’s a tough one to deal with sometimes.

“But we have come in today with a focus and it was a really positive morning at training.
