Harlequins legend Mike Brown has completed his move away from Harlequins, according to rugby transfer guru Neil Fissler.
The fullback, who is out of contract in the summer, had been linked with a reunion with ex-boss Dean Richards at Kingston Park in The Rugby Paper.
And now, that move to Newcastle has reportedly been completed.
With the Falcons winning five of their first six games back in the Premiership, Director of Rugby Richards is reportedly keen to recruit Brown as a ‘senior figure who can maintain the Falcons healthy progress.’
A graduate of the Harlequins Academy, Mike Brown has been an ever-present in the Club’s most successful period in the professional era.
He started in the 2011 Amlin Challenge Cup final win against Stade Francais and in the 2012 Aviva Premiership final win against Leicester Tigers; the culmination of a season that saw Brown score 12 tries.
Mike Brown’s standout year for the Club came in the 2013/14 season where he was named QBE Man of the Series, RBS Six Nations Player of the Championship, Supporters’ Player of the Year, Premiership Player of the Year and the RPA’s England Player of the Year.
After scoring 13 tries from fullback in the 2006/07 season, Brown was rewarded with a place in England’s squad for the summer tour to South Africa. His first try for England wouldn’t come until February 2014, when Brown scored against France in the RBS Six Nations.

Brown was part of the England sides that beat Australia 3-0 in the 2016 summer tour as well as the victorious 2016 and 2017 RBS Six Nations campaigns. The fullback also represented his country at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, scoring twice in the opening match against Fiji.
In October 2018, Brown made his 300th appearance in a Harlequins shirt; the first player in the professional era to do so and later set a new all-time appearance record (322) and try-scoring record (91).
