Fly-half: Finn Russell – Scotland
t his mercurial best. At the centre of all of Scotland’s attacks, this was vintage Finn Russell, showing off a staggering display of deft kicks and offloads. His no-look grubber for Stuart Hogg’s try was fantastic, pulled off with superb accuracy. Will be disappointed however with his side leaking three tries at the end of the match.
Scotland needed “a miracle route through” and Finn Russell came up with it!

Scrum-half: Ben Youngs – England
A fine tactical kicking display from Youngs, who arguably out-duelled his opposite number Conor Murray on the day. Probably his best ever game for England.
Prop: Mako Vunipola – England
Went up against the form tighthead in the world Tadhg Furlong and stood up relatively well in the scrum, and got through plenty of work as England’s main tackler, making 25 tackles
Hooker: Stuart McInally – Scotland
What a game for the hooker! 12 perfect darts at the lineout, ten tackles with none missed, some decent carries and a break to boot.
