RUCK’s Team of the Week: Three England players feature

Lock: Joe Launchbury (England) – Played like a flanker. Every time England broke the line, Launchbury was the man on the inside shoulder. Pick-and-go helped set up Cokanasiga for his try.

Lock: Devin Toner (Ireland) – Dominated the lineout enough for Ireland to coast to the win.

Flanker: Lewis Ludlam (England) – Instant hit after forcing knock-on by Moriarty with first tackle in international rugby.

Flanker: Michael Hooper (Australia) – He managed to run for 48 metres with the ball. Made a clutch steal in the 67th minute to stall any building New Zealand momentum. Marshalled his troops well.

Number 8: Kieran Read (New Zealand) – Led from the front. Back to his aggressive best on his worst night as All Blacks skipper. Tackled his heart out and recovered a kick-off for Ngani Laumape’s try.
