Rugby union history as FOUR brothers start for English club

Dagenham RFC became Rawlinson RFC at the weekend as four brothers took to the field in their third team fixture.

In what is surely a club record (possibly even a county record), this Saturday saw all four represent the club at the same time.

Former first team captain Chris Rawlinson was joined on the pitch by brothers George, Danny and Tommy.

TRANSFER NEWS:

The game didn’t go as they would have wanted with East London thirds running out 69-5 winners.

But in the true rugby spirit, as depicted by Dagenham’s humorous match report, they still enjoyed a drink to celebrate post match. Full match report here.

“After the game in the showers, many players made use of their Christmas Lynx Africa gift sets and the afternoon was rounded off by some jugs of beer and JD and Coke Zero’s (for those of us on a diet).”
