Transfer News: Calum Green’s departure from Newcastle confirmed

Newcastle Falcons have confirmed that second-row Calum Green will be departing in the summer to rejoin Leicester Tigers.

An article which was quickly removed by the North East club read ‘Green announces Tiger return’.

This all but confirmed the rumoured switch has been completed.

The 28-year-old, who left Tigers in 2012, will return to Welford Road seven years on from leaving for Nottingham.

Green then joined Yorkshire Carnegie for the 2012/13 season on a two-year contract before joining Newcastle Falcons.

Green has represented England U16A, and England U20, in the 6 Nations and IRB Junior World Championship, where England came fourth.
