Bristol Rugby have bolstered their front row with the arrival of Wales international prop Ryan Bevington with immediate effect.
The 27 year-old – who joins from Ospreys on a two-year deal – has thirteen caps for his country following a debut in 2011.
One of the most consistent loosehead props in the Guinness PRO12, Bevington had made over one-hundred appearances for Ospreys.
“We’re pleased to welcome Ryan into the squad and looking forward to integrating him into our environment,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“Ryan is in the prime of his career and has played at the highest level, he brings with him the experience and tactical nous required to be successful in the front row.
“Ryan still harbours international ambitions and is hungry to play in the Aviva Premiership. We’re confident he will complement what we are trying to achieve here.”
Bevington made his last international appearance against Italy in the 2014 Six Nations. He has represented Wales at all age-grade levels.
He added: “I’m excited about the opportunity to represent Bristol Rugby and to play in the top flight of English rugby.
“Having spoken to Andy [Robinson] and Mark [Bakewell], it’s clear that this is an ambitious environment to be involved in and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.
“I’ve got great memories from nine years with the Ospreys and I’d like to thank the supporters, staff and my team-mates for making my time there so enjoyable.”
