Sale Sharks tweet labelled embarrassing by players

The Sale Sharks account Tweeted out a short clip of an excellent piece of skill from loose forward Ben Curry during the Premiership Cup final, but used it as an opportunity excuse to burn Mike Brown.

The caption read: “How about Ben Curry dusting and England full back… Sorry not Sorry, Mike Brown.”

The England fullback responded, saying: “Nice humility. Well done to your players for the win, well deserved. Luckily you’re not a representation of how they are.”

Gloucester prop Jamal Ford-Robinson criticised the tweet with one simple word, ’embarrassing’.

Joe Simpson added: “Whoever is in charge of their tweets needs to take a look at themselves.”

Responding the Gloucester scrum-half, former England prop David Flatman said: “Curry surely will not like this tweet either. Brown has over 70 caps – have some respect!”
