Santiago Cordero in talks over a return to the Gallagher Premiership

Santiago Cordero is reportedly in early discussions with Exeter Chiefs over a deal to bring the speedster back to Sandy Park in 2021, according to RUCK sources.

Cordero, 26, established himself as fan favourite during his first stint at the club and will be a free agent next summer when his contract with Bordeaux-Begles expires.

The 33-cap Argentina international scored 10 tries in his 33 appearances during his previous two-year-spell with the European champions between 2017 and 2019.

His younger brother Facundo Cordero is also currently playing for Exeter.

Cordero has told his representatives that he wants to return to the Gallagher Premiership, which kicked off talks with his former employers.

However, Exeter are in no rush to complete the deal and will face competition for the hot-steppers signature with Harlequins and Wasps also linked.
