The Scarlets have signed Herschel Jantjies from the Stormers on a loan deal to help their scrum-half crisis.
Jantjies will be available for just one Pro14 game against Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on 2 December.
Gareth Davies and Aled Davies are both on international duty and Jonathan Evans was injured during the Scarlets’ 30-34 win against Southern Kings.
The only other scrum-half available is Mike Phillips, who has come out of retirement to help his former region.
