BEST PERFOMER: Tadhg Furlong –Not enough of Ireland’s world class players lived up to their star billing. Furlong perhaps got closest but England’s aggressive defence restricted his influence.

WORST PERFORMER: Johnny Sexton – Lacked his usual fizz but was put under pressure by England’s high defensive press. Gave away a penalty for hands in the ruck, on 60, that Owen Farrell failed to punish Ireland for. Threw a poor pass at the end to gift Slade a second try.
