ITALY
Best player: LEONARDO GHIRALDINI
The stand in captain was exceptional. Good lineout throwing combined with 17 tackles and 13 carries made this a standout display for the hooker.
Worst player: MICHELE CAMPAGNARO
One of the centres less influential displays, making just six carries. The Wasps also man conceded three turnovers and missed three tackles.
IRELAND
Best player: PETER O’MAHONY
Won two penalties in the breakdown, including early in the second half at a time when Ireland needed to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Worked tirelessly at the breakdown all afternoon, and stole a line-out deep in Irish territory in the closing stages.
Peter O’Mahony the best Irish player on show. 3 turnovers won and 14 tackles stuck (0 missed)

Dillane & Earls not far behindhttps://t.co/r2nZMLj3Ox
Worst player: SEAN CRONIN
Won’t start a competitive match again for a while. On his first SIx Nations start, his lineout throwing was terrible and he conceded a stupid penalty when he strayed offside.
