Six Nations 2019: Round 2 Team Of The Week

– James Ryan (Ireland): The Leinster second-row had a huge match when Ireland really needed him with so many injuries in the area.

– Courtney Lawes (England) – Superb throughout. His smash on Mathieu Bastareaud summed up England’s aggressive defence.

– Aaron Wainwright (Wales): The 21-year-old back-row find is a real athlete with a massive engine who just keeps going until the end with his high work-rate and bone-crunching tackling.

– Braam Steyn (Italy): Powerful surge brought the first try of the match as he rammed through the Welsh defence. Proved a nuisance when Wales were in possession, particularly with his hard-hitting tackles, and was a strong carrier throughout.

– Josh Navidi (Wales): Was a deserved man of the match. Offered another excellent defensive display, helping to force turnovers and keep Wales on the front foot. Also provided the carrying threat.
