Ollie Thorley – Gloucester
Cadan Murley’s opposite man was equally as impressive under Kingsholm’s Friday night lights. Frequently the focus of the Gloucester attack, with the Cherry and Whites reaping the benefit of his explosive ball carrying, and athletic running yards. In a match which featured the returning Louis Rees-Zammit getting the headlines, another Gloucester winger should not be overlooked for his outstanding effort against Harlequins.
Thorley contributed to the score-sheet with an impressive display of athleticism. He took to the skies and won the arial battle against Nick David, to catch Santiago Carrera’s pin-point cross-field kick.
This score took Gloucester to a two-try lead in the first half, and established their dominance early on in the match. 61 metres from only six carries, Thorley was efficient when given the ball.
