The Six Nations is set to be pushed back by a month to run during March and April as part of a radical overhaul of the global calendar, according to The Telegraph.
This would be part of a compromise with the southern hemisphere, which would also bring forward the start of The Rugby Championship tournament from August.

Northern Hemisphere sides would then head to play southern hemisphere opposition in October before return matches in Europe in November, forming a new global tournament.
The proposal is reportedly gaining a lot of support given its minimal overlap between international and club games.
It’s also a move supported by Sir Bill Beaumont, who has just been re-elected as chairman of World Rugby.
‘What would move would be July and November,’ Beaumont – who wants to create a new competition for ’emerging nations’ – said earlier this month.

‘So the north go south in one month. Then immediately after, the south go north the next month.
‘What we will try to do is bring in a new competition that keeps the Six Nations as a stand-alone competition but there could well be an instance where not all the Six Nations teams are playing in the Nations Championship at that top level.
‘Sitting below that you could have a subsidiary competition that involves all the emerging nations, and you could well have promotion and relegation.’
