Six Players Who Could Make Their England Debut In 2018

5. Jason Woodward (Gloucester)

The New Zealand‑born full-back who joined Gloucester from Bristol in the summer has already been included in an England training squad. With Eddie Jones revealing he is looking for competition for Mike Brown at full-back, Woodward could find himself winning his first full cap at some point in the next twelve months.

6. Marcus Smith (Harlequins)

It’s not if, it’s when the Harlequins fly-half makes his England bow. The 18-year-old, named as an apprentice in England’s training squad, has made 11 Premiership appearances this season. The youngster kicked 15 points last time out to take his tally to 109 in the league in 2017-18 and could make his debut if George Ford or Owen Farrell are ruled out through injury.
