Sonny Bill Williams sons don’t want to play for New Zealand

The sons of All Black superstar Sonny Bill Williams have revealed they’d prefer to play for South Africa if they follow in their father’s footsteps.

“Cape Town is my second home,” said Williams, who married South African model Alana Raffie in 2013.

“Maybe one day my two boys might be playing in Green and Gold. They’ve told me that’s what they’d like.

“They love the Springboks.”

South Africa want to join the Six Nations in the near future.

Below, we look at five other rugby legends sons who are making waves, but currently want to represent different countries to their legendary Fathers.

This list includes Dhyreille Jonah Lomu, who dreams of playing in the Six Nations

#1. Lucas Brooke

  • Age: 19
  • Club: London Irish
  • Position: back-row
  • Dad: Zinzan Brooke (New Zealand)

Brooke, who can play across the back-row or at hooker, grew up in England so is fully qualified to wear the red rose. The powerhouse has represented Berkshire at county level and regularly played for his school, Wellington College. Brooke has also played on the international stage with England U20.
