Wasps are expected to open official talks with prop Marcel van der Merwe after Toulon reportedly confirmed he will be released from his contract at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old Springbok forward is looking to join Dai Young’s men on a two-year contract ahead of the 2018/19 Aviva Premiership season.
Rugby rumour guru Neil Fissler is the latest to suggest a deal may be on the table.
Some transfer stuff. Toulon tight head Marcel van der Merwe set to join Wasps for next season I believe.

The tighthead would be a welcome addition for Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young as the front row is one of their weaker areas of their squad.
However. Young’s main focus is likely to be on keeping what he has as marquee signing is under real pressure to return home to help his countries preparation ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

It would also add insult to injury as Wasps already have a number of high-profile players out of contract at the end of the season, including; Danny Cipriani, James Haskell and Joe Simpson.
