Northampton forward, Lawes, is in danger of missing England’s training camp this week due to a calf injury, raising concerns about his participation in the start of the Six Nations.
On Saturday, he was forced to leave the game before halftime during a loss against La Rochelle in the Heineken Champions Cup, adding to his season’s struggles with injuries.
Asked about the injury sustained by his flanker on Saturday, Northampton’s director of rugby, Phil Dowson, said: “He had a tight calf and didn’t feel like he could play on.
“He’ll get it scanned and I’m sure England will be waiting on that.”
