The best and worst signings of the 2021/22 Premiership season

#2. Ali Crossdale (Wasps)

  • Age: 24
  • Position: Winger

Fans were buzzing with the signing of the England U20 flier, especially after his man of the match debut in which he scored a brace of tries against Bristol Bears. Nevertheless, he’s only managed to cross the whitewash in one of his 15 subsequent appearances.

DID YOU KNOW? On 26 January 2021 it was announced that Crossdale would be part of the shadow squad for England at the 2021 Six Nations Championship

#1. Mike Brown (Newcastle Falcons)

  • Age: 36
  • Position: Fullback

His time in the North East has been turbulent, to say the least, with the club choosing not to extend his deal. It was a big-money signing that really didn’t pay off for Dean Richards.

DID YOU KNOW? Brown married long term partner, fashion designer Eliza Scarlett Woodcock, the daughter of former England international footballer Tony Woodcock, in summer 2016
