The Best XV of Players Who Are Out of Contract in 2020

10. George Ford – Leicester Tigers

While talks are ongoing both he and the struggling Premiership club are hopeful of agreeing on a new deal before the end of the year which could see his salary rise to £600,000. If not, it’s thought that Sale sharks will renew their interest in the fly-half, who they tried to sign back in 2016.

PREDICTION: Stay at Leicester

9. Ben Youngs – Leicester Tigers

There had been some speculation in one publication that Saints could target Youngs if the England No.9 failed to agree new terms at Tigers. However, Chris Boyd squashed these rumours. It is probably just his agent looking for another £100k.

Prediction: Will flirt with a move away but likely stay at Leicester

1. Ellis Genge – Leicester Tigers

Rumours persist that Bristol Bears want to bring the hometown hero back to Ashton Gate while other reports suggest he will pen an extension with Tigers. This one could really go either way.

Prediction: No idea

2. Stuart McInally – Edinburgh

A product of George Watson’s College, McInally joined his hometown team in 2010. It’s likely there will be plenty of interest from Gallagher Premiership sides but the hooker will more than likely stay in the Scottish capital.

Prediction: Stay at Edinburgh

3. Kyle Sinckler – Harlequins

The tighthead will definitely not be staying at Harlequins. According to reports, Gloucester are the current favourites but with big-earners Ian Madigan and John Afoa set to leave Ashton Gate, we think Bristol Bears will use their financial muscle to recruit the premier tighthead.

Prediction: Will join Bristol Bears
