She has come back to the sport not once but twice. Having her first daughter Sophie in 2013, Beck returned to rugby in time to play a key role in Australia’s side that won gold in Sevens at the 2016 Olympic games, little did she know Harper was on the way.
Not wanting to let a second pregnancy affect her training, Beck insisted she could go about her business as usual.
The Australian Rugby Union argued it had a duty of care to uphold, so Beck and the game’s governing body came to an agreement she could train while pregnant but on lighter duties. She then returned to the sport in 2017.
