Tigers complete the signing of experienced front-rower Matias Aguero
Prop will act as cover for the injured Michele Rizzo and Logovi’i Mulipola
The 34-year-old Italy international has won 40 caps for the Azzurri
Leicester Tigers have completed the signing of experienced Italian international prop Matias Aguero. The move comes after the Premiership side were left with loose head prop crisis following injuries duo Michele Rizzo and Logovi’i Mulipola.
Aguero, who has previously played for Saracens and most recently Zebre in the Pro12, is an experienced international, having won 40 caps for the Azzurri.
With Rizzo out for up to nine months and now Logo Mulipola set for four to six weeks on the sidelines with a knee issue, Tigers were starting to become weak on that side of the scrum.
Therefore, the 34-year-old has been registered straight away and will be available for selection when Leicester kick off their Champions Cup campaign against Stade Francais on Friday night.
