Bristol Bears have failed with their bid to lure England prop, Ellis Genge, back to his hometown, according to The Rugby Paper.
Instead, Genge is reportedly close to agreeing on a new contract that will keep him at Welford Raod for another three seasons.
Bears submitted a tempting offer for the England loosehead to return to Ashton Gate next season but Neil Fissler has reported the offer was swiftly rejected.
The 24-year-old, who is nicknamed the Baby Rhino, spent three seasons with Bristol before moving to The Tigers three years ago, initially on loan before the move was made permanent.
