Transfer News: Saracens announce six summer departures

Saracens have thanked the following departing players for their efforts and service to the club.

Six members of the first team squad and one from the senior academy are to leave Allianz Park following the conclusion of the 2017/18 season.

Club stalwart Chris Wyles played his last game of professional rugby in the Aviva Premiership with his two tries taking him to a total of 72 in 254 games for Sarries.



Long-serving hooker Schalk Brits is also retiring following nine successful years with the Wolfpack. The South African made 222 appearances in black and red.

Nathan Earle (38 appearances) departs for Harlequins while Kieran Longbottom (14 appearances) is already plying his trade back with home with the Western Force.

Mark Flanagan (18 appearances) and Danny Cutmore (four appearances) are joining Bedford Blues and Cornish Pirates respectively.

Matt Hankin (17 appearances) and Mike Ellery (44 appearances) also leave with the club’s best wishes.
