Transfer Rumours: Bristol enter race to sign highly-rated Irish tighthead

Bristol Rugby have been linked with a move for highly-rated Connacht tight-head prop Conor Carey.

The Rugby Paper is reporting Pat Lam, who signed Irishman Carey for the Pro14 side back in 2016 from Championship side Nottingham, wants to link up with the Ireland U20 international once again.

Belfast man Carey came through the youth set-up at Ulster but moved first to Ealing Trailfinders and then Nottingham in search of regular game time.

The 26-year-old was then subsequently signed by Lam and played a significant role in the Connacht side last season.
