Gloucester have been linked with a move for Wasps scrum-half Joe Simpson.
The 30-year-old, who won one England cap against Georgia at the 2011 World Cup, is out of contract at the end of the season and speculation is mounting that he is set to leave the club where he has spent his entire career.
The Rugby Paper has reported that they will now turn their attention to Simpson after initially eyeing up Exeter’s Stu Townsend, who is expected to sign a new two-year deal to stay at Sandy Park.
