‘Sainsbury’s want me as a warehouse manager’ was James Haskell’s tongue-in-cheek response to The Coventry Telegraph as a question mark remains over his next career move.
“I think I might be working for Sainsbury’s next year,” said the Wasps flanker.
“Whereas Launchers came from Sainsbury’s to Wasps, I’m going from Wasps to Sainsbury’s.
“Sainsbury’s want me as a warehouse manager but I said I’m not wearing one of their hair nets.”
Haskell has previously played club rugby in Japan, Super Rugby and in France – all three remain as possible next moves if he cannot land an Avvia Premiership contact.

Quiz: Which player has scored more tries for England?
“It would be nice to stay in England but if that doesn’t happen then you know that you’ll be effectively ending your international career so if I do that then I’ll pursue something I want to do, whether that’s Japan, Super 15 or France or whatever it might be or next chapter.
