One of the best full-backs in European rugby is being lined up for a move to the Premiership next season according to reports.
French international Scott Spedding has been linked with both Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints according to French sources after finding work in the Top 14 hard to come by having failed to achieve JIFF status – which classifies him as home grown.
The Saints are looking for a replacement for Ben Foden who played his final game for the club yesterday, while the Sharks were linked with a move for Australian international Israel Folau just weeks ago.
The 31-year-old is leaving Clermont at the end of the season.
The powerful South African-born back has 23 caps for his adopted country France.
