Crusaders star Jordan Taufua is reportedly on his way to the Guinness Pro 14 to join Scarlets for the 2018/19 season.
According to RUCK sources, the 25-year-old kiwi is set to be announced by the Scarlets in the upcoming week’s thanks to the links he has with former coach Wayne Pivac, along with his old teammates Jonny McNichol and Fonotia also joining next season.
The Scarlets have been searching for a replacement for Munster-bound Tadgh Beirne and Scotland captain John Barclay, who are both leaving at the end of this season, and Taufua would be an excellent addition to the team especially for the brand of rugby that Pivac has installed down at the West-Wales region.
Taufua is a versatile loose forward that is currently playing for the Crusaders in Super Rugby but is set to be heading to Llanelli for the 2018/2019 season. If the Scarlets manage to get his signature it will be a huge statement of intent for the current Champions ahead of next season.
