Jacques van Rooyen is the man Bath Rugby want to bring in as injury cover for Beno Obano.
Obano is expected to miss the majority if not the whole of next season after knee surgery to fix multiple injuries suffered while training with England at the end of last season.
Van Rooyen’s agent, James Adams, confirmed to Netwerk24 in South Africa that the Blue, Black and Whites are keen to bring the 31-year-old from the Lions for next season.
Somerset Live has also reported that advanced talks have taken place and the move is likely to happen.
