Wasps have approached flanker Nizaam Carr in a bid to get him after the Currie Cup.
Rapport has reported that the Premiership is keen to add the back-rower to their injury-hit squad after the conclusion of the competition.
The abrasive forward, who has won five Springbok caps, would be joining former Stormers teammate and good friend Juan de Jongh at the Ricoh Arena.
Wasps are also looking to sign a replacement tighthead, as Marty Moore will return to Ulster soon.
On their short list is Lions prop, Ruan Dreyer. However, Dreyer is contracted by the Lions until at least after 2018’s Super Rugby.
