Former Springbok and Bulls scrumhalf Piet van Zyl is set to further his career in England.
According to Afrikaans weekly newspaper, Rapport, Van Zyl will join London Irish in early 2018.
The player has seemingly made a U-turn after announcing his retirement earlier this year following the Bulls’ Currie Cup campaign.
Van Zyl will be one of SEVEN Springbok scrumhalves playing in Europe.
The others are Ruan Pienaar (Montpellier, France), Cobus Reinach (Northampton Saints, England), Charl McLeod (Stade Francais, France), Faf de Klerk (Sale Sharks, England), Francois Hougaard (Worcester Warriors, England) and Ricky Januarie (Agen, France).
