TRANSFER | Stade Francais confirm the signing of two Premiership stars

It’s been confirmed that Springbok lock Gerbrandt Grobler will join Stade Français on a two-year deal.

The South African, who has already played in the Top 14 with Racing 92 during the 2016-2017 season, becomes the latest departure from Gloucester.

The Parisians have also confirmed the signing Telusa Veainu after the Tongan fullback departed Leicester Tigers following the much publicised wage row.

After joining Leicester Tigers in the wake of some impressive performances at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, he finished his debut season as the supporters’ Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

Quick and elusive as a wing or full-back, Veainu was also the only Tigers player named in the BT Sports Team of the Season for 2015/16 and ended the campaign as the club’s joint-top try-scorer with Vereniki Goneva.
