“Two England stars” – Northampton Saints confirm 14 more departures

CONNOR TUPAI – SAINT #2008
Scrum-half Tupai is another product of Saints’ Academy system, and has been in the Club’s senior squad since the start of the 2018/19 season – when he made his Northampton debut and then featured home and away against Leinster in the Heineken Champions Cup.

Following his father and former Saintsman Paul into the first-team squad at the Gardens, Tupai has gone on to make 14 appearances in total while also representing partner club Bedford Blues in the Championship.

CONOR CAREY – SAINT #2042
Signed from Top14 side Perpignan as injury cover last October until the end of the current season, tighthead prop Carey has made 14 appearances this term for Saints – including three in Europe against Racing 92, Ulster and Gloucester.

After sustaining a serious knee injury against Harlequins last month, Carey will complete his rehabilitation at Franklin’s Gardens before deciding on his future when back to full fitness.

KARL GARSIDE – SAINT #1997
Garside made his debut for Northampton while on loan from Ampthill in 2018 – first donning the Black, Green and Gold jersey against Bristol Bears in the Premiership Rugby Cup – before joining Saints permanently following a successful trial period.

The prop made his Gallagher Premiership debut later that year and would go on to make 12 senior appearances for Northampton, while also featuring for Bedford Blues as part of Saints’ strategic partnership with the Championship side.
