Warren Gatland’s next job close to being confirmed…
Wales boss Warren Gatland is set to lead the British and Irish Lions once again for a third successive time when they tour South Africa in 2021.
The newspaper reports claim the three-time Six Nations Grand Slam winner with Wales would not be ruled out of taking over the England job if he did lead the Lions once again.
The Sunday Telegraph say the Lions board met earlier this month and agreed 55-year-old Gatland was the “outstanding candidate” and plan to agree terms with the New Zealander within the next few weeks.
The newspaper report Gatland, who led Wales to the Six Nations Grand Slam last month, has the backing of the Welsh Rugby Union to accept the position.
