Wasps 47-18 Harlequins: Unbeaten Wasps score seven to ease past Quins

  • Wasps comprehensively beat Harlequins to return to the top of the Premiership and maintain their 100% record
  • Wasps secured a bonus point by the break as Ashley Johnson, Guy Thompson, Dan Robson and Elliot Daly all crossed
  • Three more tries in the second half from Christian Wade, Kyle Eastmond and Josh Bassett secured the win
Wasps retained their unbeaten status and remain top of the Aviva Premiership after notching a deserved 47-18 victory over Harlequins at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday.

Seven different try scorers secured the emphatic victory for the Coventry side with the visitors feeling hard done by in the heavy defeat, having shown moments of class, particularly in the first half.

Wasps secured a bonus point within 32 minutes as Ashley Johnson, Guy Thompson, Dan Robson and Elliot Daly crossed for the hosts.

Jamie Roberts and James Chisholm’s tries kept Quins in touch at half-time.

But three more tries in the second half from Christian Wade, Kyle Eastmond and Josh Bassett extinguished any hopes of a shock away win for Harlequins.
