Marcus Smith missed a late conversion as Harlequins were knocked out of the Heineken Champions Cup by Montpellier, losing by a single point on aggregate.
The English champions, who were beaten 40-26 in France, raced into an early lead but couldn’t hang on.
One memorable try came from England centre Joe Marchant.
Excellent work from scrum-half Danny Care to keep it in, then Marcus Smith set off like a rocket before playing in Cadan Murley who passed to the centre for the try.
