While not the biggest of hits, it was an extremely heads-up and intelligent tackle. And it’s yet another example of size not always being the sole determining factor.
Coach Rassie Erasmus must certainly be pleased he decided to bring de Klerk back into the fold.
SOCIAL REACTION:
OMG.
Faf de Klerk just drove Nathan Hughes back about 6ft.

That tackle from Faf de Klerk is one to show the youngsters in clubhouses up and down the land. 5ft 8in, 12st 9lbs, smashes Nathan Hughes, at 6ft 5in and 19st five metres backwards. Timing, leg drive, aggression 👏

That was gutsy by Faf de Klerk, driving the massive Nathan Hughes back in a tackle, despite a weight disadvantage of roughly 50kg. #Springbokgameday
