Golden Lions lock Lourens Erasmus couldn’t hide his delight after he scored the Currie Cup’s fastest ever try in Saturday’s win over the Pumas in Johannesburg.
Erasmus’ try was registered just 8.5 seconds in to the Lions’ 68-26 victory and came after he gathered a loose ball directly from the kick off.
“It is a fantasic feeling to have such a record,” he said after the match.
