In his two RWC appearances, Lomu notched 15 tries in 10 matches. In fact, other than the two games against South Africa, Jonah scored in every single World Cup match he’s played in.

Lomu was an ambassador for children’s charity UNICEF up until his death.


8. His love of cars…

Early in his career, Lomu was known for his extravagant car collection. His best-known vehicle was a Nissan Patrol with a $100,000 sound system. At various times, his collection included a HSV, an R34 Nissan GT-R, a Hummer, Lamborghini and a 1967 Camaro. It is understood most, if not all, of these cars were purchased on finance deals.


9. World-famous

He’s the only rugby player ever to feature on the front cover of TIME magazine.


10. Waxwork
