Made redundant by the RFU as part of coronavirus-enforced cuts, GB’s sevens stars are facing a difficult journey to the Tokyo Olympics.
The Sevens players. who don’t receive any government funding, have launched a crowd-funding scheme to aid their preparations for next year.
They’ve so far raised £13,965 as they continue to seek alternative sources of funding to help give them the best shot of achieving an Olympic medal in Tokyo, 2021.

Phil Burgess: Director of rugby at Cranleigh School
Tom Bowen: Coaching teenagers (paid and voluntary)
Tom Mitchell: Rugby coaching, corporate performance coaching
Ben Harris: Senior academy contract at Saracens
