Hot on the heels of his departure from Lyon in the Top 14, Fearns recently signed a deal with Pro D2 side Rouen on a two-season contract. He was set to feature in Jones’ England plans after agreeing a move to Gloucester from Lyon in 2017, but backed out of the deal to remain in France, which meant he remained eligible for international selection.
