What happened to Stuart Lancaster’s last 5 England debutants?

#5. Jamie George

Verdict: SUCCESS

George made his Test debut off the bench for Tom Youngs against France in August 2015.

His first Rugby World Cup appearance was against Uruguay two months later and he started all three Tests for the British & Irish Lions against the All Blacks in New Zealand in 2017.

In 2019 he was part of team that progressed through the Rugby World Cup starting in final against South Africa. Born in Welwyn Garden City, Jamie first laced up his boots at five years old and has graduated through the England U16, U18, U20 and Saxons teams.

His first bit of club silverware was the 2011 Premiership title, with further titles in 2015, 2018 and 2019, while he was also part of the Sarries squad that won the European Champions Cup in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
