4. Zach Mercer (Bath Rugby)
Once again the Bath number 8 showed why he is one of the leading back-rows in England with an outstanding display across the board in the narrow win against Gloucester. Defensively Mercer made a game high 16 tackles, without missing one as well as winning his side a turnover. The Montpellier-bound number eight also made a staggering 21 carries across the game, showing exactly what the Bath faithful will miss next season.
